Fragaria vesca L. subsp. bracteata (A.Heller) Staudt

A trailing plant of high elevation coniferous forest & meadows. It differs from Fragaria virginiana in having ligher green, &plusm; plicate leaves that are toothed through along most of the length of their margins. The two are often found together.
