Artemisia ludoviciana ssp. albula

A silvery perennial. Leaves in this subspecies are greyish or whitish on both surfaces and entire to shallowly lobed. Some of the other subspecies (e.g., mexicana) have more deeply lobed leaves and adaxial surfaces that are greenish. These subspecies cannot be reliably distinguished from A. carruthii in the Flora of North America key of L.M. Shultz.
