Abronia villosa

I've only seen this plant at Mohawk Dunes, east of Yuma, Arizona. It's common in dune areas throughout southwestern Arizona and southeastern California.

Nice floral community at Mohawk Dunes, 2/27/05. The purple flowers visible at Abronia villosa. The large white flowers are Oenothera deltoides. The smaller white flowers on the right are Dimorphocarpa wislizenii.
