Crotaphytus collaris baileyi

A blue-bodied, white-headed subspecies that I've seen in the Four Corners area.

An adult male on the east side of Navajo Lake, Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, 30 Apr 2006.

The same critter as above, 30 Apr 2006.

The same critter, closer still, 30 Apr 2006. For some reason he just let me walk up to him without running.

A partially yellow-headed adult male, perhaps an intergrade with Crotaphytus collaris auriceps, in Grand County, Utah, 17 Jun 2006. Unlike the guy above, this one didn't want to pose for photos.
