Most of Morgan-Monroe State Forest is in north-eastern Monroe Co. and adjacent Morgan Co. There are also a number of smaller parts of it scattered around, like this area north of Monroe Lake. The bottomland in this part is mostly old pine plantation, but the ravines have some nice woods. I've only been there once, on the 4th of April, 2004.
